Wearisome but nevertheless smiling faces were strolling out of the Miriam College Middle School Sports Complex in the evening of December 5, 2015. Indeed, it was an eventful and fun-filled Family Day experience which started with ice-breaker games in the respective classrooms of Grade 6 sections Agong, Bantula, Dabakan, Gandingan, Kalaleng, Kudyapi, Kulintang, Sulibao and Tambuli; exquisite section names are of Filipino musical instruments. The parents were immediately ushered out from their seats and tested for their memories with the "Takip Silip" game by blurting out the name of the person facing him or her when the blanket cover was dropped. The kids were encouraged to donate to the partner charity organization "Heroes for Hope" through the game, "Kahit Barya-barya, Bigay Saya", wherein the team to form the longest line following the given pattern with their savings of P5 or P10 coins wins. Heavy snacks and the class serenade of Christmas songs ended-up the class program.

The main program was graced by Kontemporaryong Gemelan Pilipino, an Ethnic Music and Dance Ensemble from the University of the Philippines popularly known as Kontra GaPi. This group expresses Philippine culture inspired music by using Filipino instruments rendering more meaning and life to the Grade 6 section names. Miriam College High School's very own Classical and Cultural Dance Company and Sayawatha added fervor and hip perking up the audience. The young girls were pretty dumdfounded and impressed with Jose Karlo Labajo's balladic song numbers. And the most applauded performance was the all-time favorite Grade 6 teachers' dance which vigorously concluded the main program in the second floor cafetorium.
To solemnly and completely finish this year's family day, Rev. Father Jessel Gerard Gonzales presided an anticipated holy mass. The homily relevantly talked about "now na…kung anong dapat gawin ngayon ay di na ipagpaliban".
A grade 6 student, when asked about her thoughts on this year's Family Day "Tugtugan at Sayawan Sixsik ng Saya ang Pamilya", she simply answered "It was unexpectedly nice."
